There is no better time to get involved with our organisation, as we work towards fulfilling our new strategic plan 2023-2026 to ensure that our Angus communities are inclusive and that ‘every voice matters’. 

Angus Independent Advocacy (AIA) currently have the following vacancies (voluntary) on our Board of Directors:

* Treasurer

* Board Member

AIA invite applications from individuals who are willing to share their expertise, knowledge and skills in taking forward our work and ensuring best practice in Board Governance.

The individuals must be committed to our collective strategic vision for the organisation in creating a more inclusive community where every person’s voice matters.

We are looking for people who have an understanding and commitment to social justice and also have  skills and expertise, in the following areas:

*  Finance/Accountancy

or

* Legal or Marketing (although we would welcome interest from anyone who feels they can support our work in a governance role).

This role is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for travel may be claimed in line with AIA’s expenses policy.

We are currently holding a mix of in person and remote board meetings, with the option of hybrid meetings. The Board meet every second month on a Monday evening, with office bearers (including the Treasurer) meeting ahead of each meeting. The Treasurer will also work alongside the CEO to do quarterly budget reviews.
