Volunteering

We are always on the look out for Volunteers who share our values to support our work. We are currently recruiting for:

  • Citizen Advocates
  • Board Member. Further information available here

Citizen Advocates:

Our Citizen Advocacy Project recruits Citizen Advocates (Volunteers) who can support another person (Advocacy Partner) who maybe facing barriers to connect to their local community and have their voice heard.

We believe that it is people’s life skills, values and interests which make them good Citizen Advocates.

All Citizen Advocates must complete our application process which includes references, a PVG check and our preparation course. They also have access to ongoing learning, support and social opportunities.

Our Development Workers get to know any potential Citizen Advocates so they can identify an appropriate match. This is based on things like skills, interests and location.

Board of Directors:

‘It is wonderful to be part of an organisation that is focussed on supporting others and making their voices heard!’ (Board)

Our Board of Directors is made up of local people with a wide range of skills and backgrounds, and some with lived experience of independent advocacy. The Board meet every second month.

Other volunteering opportunities:

We are keen to hear from anyone who has free time and wants to support our work in any way. If you are interested in finding out what’s available, please get in touch using the contact us form.
